Hello! College graduate in exercise science and ACSM Certified Personal Trainer. My blog has all kinds of fun topics, something for everyone who is anyone that involves themselves with fitness. I like to think of fitness as a confidence booster, something to make us feel good and look good & pushes us to do things that make us feel more productive, unstoppable and stronger mentally and physically. My blog focuses on building people, and helping people see their true potential, while also sharing my journey with workouts, competing with powerlifting, and sharing how to's on workouts, so you step inside the gym with more knowledge. I don't know everything but I am on a voyage to build my character, my strength and work on my weaknesses --- with awesome people in my corner who support me and my goals. I plan on being your cheerleader, friend, coach and trainer all-in-one and most of all, I want to be your listener, the person who can listen and gain more knowledge about you and learn what makes fitness important to you; what's your why! (Your why will carry you to the finish line). It's important to have purpose for something, because you will need that purpose when you start to give up on yourself or want to quit. "Don't let the fire that guides you, dim" - Shay-lon Besides the fitness stuff, I reside in Ohio, love dogs and love pizza. Typical 26 year old trying to build an empire that brings out the best in others and makes me the best person I can be in all aspects in my life. Before I die, I want a reason to live, and I was given that reason each day I am able to wake up --- I have learned to not take life for granted and to explore as much as possible because to live with zero regrets would be fantastic! 1. Shay-lon, you are very wise, I love this video of yours. Very good. There is a time when you can’t speak to some, and I believe you can’t fight fire with fire, it has to be water. I agree with you on confrontation. But, sometimes, i don’t believe confrontation work all the time because some people just don’t get what they are doing, they don’t see anything wrong in it, and if you speak to them, then you are just banging your head on brick wall and it is sooooo not worth it. So like you I kinda let is slide on the most part. But one place you can discuss adult to adult is a work place I find, but outside of that, it is better to ignore and ignore means not in a rude way, but don’t let the cruelness touch your heart. Do i make any sense… lol

loving these videos of yours – even though I am not in the collab or exercising as much as should… lol…

    1. Bella,
Yes, I do understand what you mean when you mention how some people do not see how what they are doing is wrong or inappropriate and this is correct – but I feel at least as adults, I can try to understand them and if I can’t or if they choose to be ignorant then I can go from there. but I try to give everyone a chance unless it just isn’t worth it then ignoring them is best fit 🙂
I appreciate your support for my videos, hopefully they are both fun to watch and insightful as well!

  2. I just practiced this right now! Perfect timing too. Before I react, I stop and think if it’s worth my time and energy to react. I think about whether these people are individuals that will be in my life, or are people that are passing by. Passer bys are not worth my energy.

    1. I like how you put that “passer bys” and yes, I totally agree with you, they are not worth the energy, although sometimes they make you want to put in the energy >.< but I have become good at ignoring most people in my life who tend to be "passer bys", not saying I haven't allowed them to get to me, because I have but like you, I have allowed it less.
