Merry Belated Christmas|Day after Christmas

I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas Eve & Christmas Day! Sorry I had been away from the blog world since Monday, I have been fairly busy because of the holidays —- which I consider a good thing, but this now means hopefully things will be dying down and I can get back to blogging regularly. With New Years on its way, I suppose we are preparing for 2018.

I would love for my readers/bloggers to answer a few questions?

  1. Do you have any New Year’s resolutions?
  2. What is your day after Christmas like?
  3. What is one gift that you enjoyed the most from Christmas?
  4. Do you like listening to Christmas tunes?
  5. Did you eat better this year vs the previous year (i.e healthier, more portioned out, etc.)
  6. What is your favorite Christmas movie?

Leave all your answers in the comment section! feel free to share this post among your peers so that they can answer as well!

Hello! College graduate in exercise science and ACSM Certified Personal Trainer. My blog has all kinds of fun topics, something for everyone who is anyone that involves themselves with fitness. I like to think of fitness as a confidence booster, something to make us feel good and look good & pushes us to do things that make us feel more productive, unstoppable and stronger mentally and physically. My blog focuses on building people, and helping people see their true potential, while also sharing my journey with workouts, competing with powerlifting, and sharing how to's on workouts, so you step inside the gym with more knowledge. I don't know everything but I am on a voyage to build my character, my strength and work on my weaknesses --- with awesome people in my corner who support me and my goals. I plan on being your cheerleader, friend, coach and trainer all-in-one and most of all, I want to be your listener, the person who can listen and gain more knowledge about you and learn what makes fitness important to you; what's your why! (Your why will carry you to the finish line). It's important to have purpose for something, because you will need that purpose when you start to give up on yourself or want to quit. "Don't let the fire that guides you, dim" - Shay-lon Besides the fitness stuff, I reside in Ohio, love dogs and love pizza. Typical 26 year old trying to build an empire that brings out the best in others and makes me the best person I can be in all aspects in my life. Before I die, I want a reason to live, and I was given that reason each day I am able to wake up --- I have learned to not take life for granted and to explore as much as possible because to live with zero regrets would be fantastic! 1. 1. I resolve to be like Shaylon.
    2. Resting in an introvert coma.
    3. I didn’t get any presents. I did something for my wife that’s like a gift to me.
    4. Some but not on the radio and I try to block out the ones that play in the stores.
    5. About the same. I gave up chocolate in 2017 so that’s healthier I suppose.
    6. Die Hard.

    1. I had no idea you gave up chocolate. What made you decide to give up chocolate? if you don’t mind me asking.
I have yet to see the movie “Die hard” but the radio was talking all about it. lol

I don’t particularly love Xmas music, but some I can tolerate more than others 🙂 I am happy I don’t work retail anymore where they would replay the same songs over and over and over again! lol

I don’t think being like me would get you very far, but regardless, I take it as a compliment. I got a gift from one of my brothers, it was a giftcard that said Happy birthday LOL even though mine is like in March, I guess it was the thought that counts, right! hahaha

      1. I believe chocolate messes up my complexion. I had a couple bars before Christmas and it seemed like right away I had issues. But there are other reasons (beyond empty calories and sugar) – most off the shelf product has the blood of children as part of the production and it’s a diary product and I’m avoiding dairy as I work towards being vegan.

I’m kidding a bit about Die Hard. I’ve seen it but I’m not crazy about it. I don’t think I have a Christmas movie.

I hear you on the retail and replaying music. I think that broke me, too. On the other hand, I regularly plan special Christmas programs including all the music.

I want to become leaner. I got to 200lbs. I want to be there again and stay there. Didn’t I ask you to turn me into Henry Cavill (Superman)? I’m still waiting for you to whip me into shape.

A gift card is nice regardless of what it says. A family in the church gave us a $50 gift card to a sports store. Might get some new runners.

My son got me a four pack of chocolate bars so I said thanks but I gave them up so he ate them.

Christmas for me is complicated. I’m grateful God poured himself out for us so he could win back our hearts. But that didn’t happen on December 25. I love to give gifts and be with people. We prepared a gift box for our adopted daughter and it made my heart soar to know it was a huge blessing to her. But Christmas is so commercialized and hectic it feels phoney. When I was a college student (the first time around), I was broke and couldn’t get home. It was then that I really started to dislike Christmas.

  2. I joined Weight Watchers after Thanksgiving. It is time to change my way of life. I do not feel like I am deprived at all. With some health challenges I have started slow and steady at the gym. Lost a few pounds but feeling better and stronger every day.
