I don’t live my life to Appease you

Not anymore.

It is within our nature to want to be accepted by others, to want to “fit in” and feel like we can have a common place with someone else. We strive to be this person that people can say they like, talk highly about and want to be around on a more constant basis. It’s almost like we do things in order to prove we are worthy of these things, but what for? because popularity is a form of what we would consider “love”, and people like feeling loved — and cared for. It’s without a doubt, a great indicator of who we are and how we perceive ourselves because in the mist of wanting to be this “popular” buzz, we find out what sacrifices we had to make in order to appease the crowd & how those same sacrifices effect our character. Sometimes by being the “crowds favorite person” you find out that you had to sell your soul to the devil (metaphorically speaking) and once you decide to sell yourself short in order to gain a couple new friends, you don’t get to make another bargain. It’s a final sale & there are no refunds, you gave away yourself in order to buy a new face — you prided yourself for the amount of people who speak about you, but not everyone stays around long enough to meet the real you, when you finally have had a enough exhaustion for one day & need a break from it all, you have to remember it comes with a losing sacrifice, you lose out on the people you gained and you lost the ones who accepted you without change — but because of your greedy mind and wishful thinking, you have nobody at the end of this tunnel if you don’t stick with this mask that made you phenomenal. 

I created this writing as a piece to dedicate to myself & to those who have or once had lived to appease. They lived their lives constantly wanting someone to notice them, wanting to be their friend, wanting to be apart of something grand because for so long they weren’t happy with what they had, even if what they had was pure. Sometimes we want to strive for bigger & better but not always is this the best path, it can come with consequences if you don’t read the small bold print at the bottom of the contract and has its been known to change a person’s character and scar them. For we don’t get to choose who we meet, but if who we meet changes who we are for the worst, than maybe we need to reconsider how we go about letting people in. To appease someone else by changing yourself is like living a life with half truths. Not everyone was meant to like you, the true you, some will deem it “not good enough” ; but what isn’t good enough for them was good enough for those who stayed by your side no matter your flaws. If ONLY one person deemed you “good enough” , that one person is worthy of your love because that one person didn’t ask you to conform but instead asked you to be yourself in exchange for their true selves. We don’t have to unmask ourselves to see the face, we only have to question if who we really are, is the mask we put on everyday. Don’t live to appease, live to be loved and to be cared for 100 percent, live to be you, live to be true and never live to fit in because tears will flood the eyes who have reached their own demise.

Sometimes I feel like I am drowning —

Hey everyone 🙂

With as busy as I have been, I know I haven’t been consistent with my post like I was in the past and that is because I am building a new website for my personal training business I want to do & I have been traveling and out of town a whole lot more since it is the summer. 

Not to mention, I want to start up a new podcast for my business but it will be fun and lot more laid back — but coming up with a title has been grueling, so hopefully within the month that will be a  finished product. I have had a lot on my plate with this new business venture I am taking and being sponsored by two companies and having an online presence on IG, FB and Twitter, etc has been taking a toll sometimes — it can be quite overwhelming and I am always on the go, go, go. There is hardly enough time for me to just do me *hints why I am usually gone for a long period of time from this blog*. I ma not trying to avoid any of you or make excuses for my absence but at times I need that breath of fresh air & not always will I post it. 

With all of this being said, I have yet to sit down and come up with a new schedule for this blog and my LGBTQ blog — so be patient with me, but do know I will  and when I do, I will let all of you know, because I know many of you like routine and enjoyed my older days when I was posting more often and with new, fun and exciting things that led you to my blog in the first place. Nothing comes easy when you have a lot on your plate on and offline — so this might be something that ends up being trial and error until I get it right. Once upon a time, I was keeping track of all my milestones when it came to followers on this blog, but since slowing down and realizing I am not dedicating the same amount of time I once was to this blog I found there was no point in doing all of that when my stats reflect my failure to commit to consistency; maybe in the future I will have new milestones I can reflect on and share but for now don’t expect anything HUGE until I have been a more regular blogger again. I am not giving up blogging or letting go of this blog or any of the other blogs I do, they are all successful blogs that I will make into a side profession, but the amount of time I am dedicating to them will be hindered quite a bit for sometime until I can get more things off my plate and have a balance — especially since I am making a website, that will need my full attention as well. I was always told to not break off more than I can chew (I suppose that is too late, considering circumstances) but I can still find ways to manage my blogs without them becoming a chore ( I don’t like chores) LOL.

In the meantime, once my website is up and running — it won’t be perfect of course because I still have to take proper steps in having it look more professional and what not, but for now I just want it up and running with new post/and possibly content and maybe features.. we shall see (one step at a time) and once my podcast is created and running — I will reveal that information as well, along with any other projects I am working on that would be relevant for all of my readers. 

I do want to say THANK YOU, because most of you continue to keep up with my blog post, and comment and still find time to make time for my writings without complaints. I may not be as good as I once was with keeping up with your blogs, but I do appreciate the time you have taken to subscribe to my blog, follow my blog, read and share it. I know being a blogger was not meant to be easy for everyone depending on your goals, and I chose to take the long road with the most reward BUT my blog wouldn’t be as valuable or or hold a purpose without ALL OF YOU BEING APART OF IT 🙂 Thank you for all your continued support. #CHEERS

Podcast & Blog Schedule

I have finally came up with a schedule for both my podcast and fitness/health blog. I appreciate all of you being patient with me while I worked on this plan – this plan is going to unravel starting Monday but this is what to expect:

Podcast (Soundcloud) Schedule:

Monday:

 
  • Motivation/Inspiration 

Tuesday:

  • Fitness Podcast Series (advice/Tips)

Wednesday:

  • Gay community podcast series

Thursday:

  • Recipes/meal planning tips

Friday:

  • No podcast

Saturday:

  • Life, relationships, current events, Q & A, interviews, etc

Sunday:

  • No podcast

Now keep in mind, if I become busy during some of these days of the week, then it could shift to make up for the day I missed (i.e if I miss Monday, I could do it on Friday or Sunday instead). The  podcast I will be sharing on this blog is the fitness/health podcast, recipe podcast and the motivation/inspiration podcast. I will post them on corresponding days of the week. FYI, on Sundays I will roll out on my blog all the podcast series into ONE post so that if anyone is missed a day, or is interested in my other podcast topics, they can then choose to listen to those.

Tuesday: 

  • Exercise (How to’s)

Same rules apply to the blog, if I am unable to post during a certain day of the week, I will add it on another day of the week. The “misc” post will be post that don’t fit into any of the above categories or sometimes will include awards, tags, collaborations and challenges (although I will do awards/tags/challenges any day of the week depending on my schedule). If I should decide to add more topics then I will let everyone know and what day. If any of you have a topic you want me to add to the blog, let me know or if you have anything you want me to discuss on one of these days let me know. 

 

Hopefully all of you will be patient with me as these changes happen – if anything should change, I will keep everyone updated.  I will be in the works of creating a new blog (not fitness & health related) soon so when that comes unraveled, I will be sure to share it with all of you (it will NOT take the place of this blog – I will be maintaining two blogs). Started A SoundCloud Podcast

I remember sharing with all of you that I wanted to start a podcast using sound cloud months ago and well finally I had the chance to do it and today was the second podcast and first topic. For those of you who will be interested in my podcast, I want to give you the inside scoop on what to expect on it so nothing comes as a surprise. 

 
  • Fitness Advice/Tips
  • Motivation/inspiration 
  • interviews
  • Life – general things
  • relationships  – the good and bad
  • gay community (discussing my sexuality and other topics surrounding it)
  • Q & A – question and answer 
  • Current events

Then if this should grow, I will expand on the podcast and introduce more things that might become of interest to others. I will have a schedule on which days I discuss what and will reveal that schedule within the next couple of days hopefully because I want it to be organized and it will allow you to tune in to whatever you have interest in. I have been wanting to start a second YouTube channel to put the audio on, but I am having issues with that at the moment so maybe down the road, I can find a way to add them to a YouTube channel; for now I will share on my blog and other social media outlets. I appreciate all of you for your patience and support. 

 

P.S 

I will be starting a second blog that is NOT fitness/health related at some point and will also share that URL with you when it is up and running. I will continue to keep this blog regardless of starting a new one and will continue to post on this blog. 

 

Theme Changed & Categories mixed up (Time consuming business)

Hello Bloggers,

I just recently changed my blog theme today and have added and removed some categories that I didn’t find productive any longer. This is an ongoing change because I have so many published post that I have to move post around to the correct categories and this will take some time, so in the meantime, things will seem all confusing on my blog perhaps if you use my category drop down list on my blog page. I will continue to work on it, but no promises it will get done within this week, it will be under construction for a little while. I will let everyone know when it is finished up, sorry for any inconveniences.
