Day 27

Do you find yourself feeling guilt about things that are out of your control?

  • Yes and no.

Do you ever break the rules?

  • I am not the type of person who will go out of my way to break rules, and I always usually try my best to follow them due to being overly cautious. Although, yes, I have broken rules, and suffered consequences for doing so & sometimes I have been able to get away with action without having someone find out — but it left guilt on my heart & that can be worse off than the consequences. I prefer to not have to break the rules, however I do believe “some rules are meant to be broken” — especially if the rule(s) don’t align with your values/beliefs, or change your character negatively. Sometimes we have to go against our belief system and sway from our values but many times those set the standards for what we believe in and how we go about doing things in our lives. For example, our moral belief might be to not kill someone but when defending ourselves, it could mean life or death & sometimes killing the other person is the only option if we want to survive.

365 Days of Self Discovery: Day 47

10.19.18

What rules or standards do you live by?

  • I have a number of rules and standards that I try to live by the best way I know how. Some of which you may have heard of it and some you have not. All of these rules/standards can somewhat be summed up by my morals and belief system. While this may not be an all exclusive list, it is a decent amount.
  1. “Treat the janitor with the same respect as you would the CEO” — this is something I was taught by my grandmother, and to be honest, I love this saying because we tend to treat people differently due to their status quo. The CEO puts his pants on the same way as either you or I.
  2. Don’t allow someone to back you into a corner mentally, or physically & if they do, come out fighting. Basically what this means is, we can only manage to handle so much before we explode, we shouldn’t allow someone(s) to get us to the point where we just continue to take the hits they give us. If we don’t learn to stand up for ourselves than we will continue to allow someone to take advantage of us. Sometimes to come out swinging, means to STOP putting up with people’s crap.
  3. Your body can handle the challenges that your mind thinks you can’t. The body can be pushed further than what the mind allows. Don’t allow your thinking to get the best of you.
  4. Guilt can kill a man, therefore, make choices in which you won’t feel guilty about later & make them wisely. If you know a choice will cause you pain later, then maybe it is time to rethink your choice(s) so that you don’t have to live with this kind of guilt. Sometimes guilt plays on us without our control due to circumstances, but we have to learn to let go of it, and move on. We can’t move on properly if we live a life full of regrets.
  5. Take risk because they can sometimes lead us to great opportunities.
  6. Be a leader, not a boss. People don’t want to be told what to do, they want to be led by someone who will do the work with them. People don’t like being bossed around, they prefer to be asked & if you live your life trying to be a boss, you will earn less respect in the long run, but if you live your life as a leader, respect will gradually grow and with respect will come trust and a group of people who will stand alongside of you.
  7. “Treat people the way you want to be treated”
  8. An open mind builds a bigger perspective. Living inside a closed box doesn’t allow you to see everything from different viewpoints. If you keep an open mind, you will see the world in many different perspectives and have respect for many different voices of reason.
  9. Take accountability for your actions
  10. The type of people you surround yourself with, usually is a good indicator of the type of person you are
  11. “Close mouths don’t get fed”. If you don’t speak up, you won’t be heard
  12. Be yourself, those that like you will like you for who you are & those that don’t like you, won’t matter.

Thank You (Poem At The End)

I wanted to catch everyone up on why I haven’t been active on social media and my blog page as well.. and what is to come.

Firstly, I want to say thank you to all of those who have left comments on my latest YouTube video and my blog post while I have been MIA – it truly means the world to me and while I did not respond to any of them, I did read them.. and it made me thankful that many of you were being as supportive as possible.

Secondly, I apologize that all my viewers and blog friends and followers have not seen much of me on social media (including this blog) and I know it sucks because I have so much to write about and all you flock to my page to get the next big thing I have written; waiting patiently and none of you were prepared for this disappeared kind of moment. This was not fair to any of you – but I had to do what I had to do if it meant staying away for a while.

Thirdly, for those of you who aren’t caught up or new to the blog, this week has been full of emotional lows for me, I have been in rage, sad, frustrated, confused, and withdrew from close friends and family – for reasons I will not discuss on this blog or social media.. some may have guessed it or might have a clue as to why but I will not confirm those reasons for privacy reasons. I have a personal life that isn’t always something I want to discuss online. It has been very difficult for me, I haven’t been to the gym all week, I left the gym on Tuesday in tears and anger that I could not manage to go back all this week, I haven’t been eating much at all and my selections have not been healthiest at all – in all honesty I have been falling apart all week. The first to go was my mind, I lost it.. I was in my room crying most days and throwing shit other days of the week and all in all I missed out on tons of sleep to the point of not being able to function correctly. It wasn’t until partly yesterday I was slowly showing people support on Instagram again and trying to manage my emotions all at once.. it has been difficult but in the end.. we all have shitty days, right?

Fourthly, I will try to create a video Monday for all of you to get some updates.. and if I don’t you will have to excuse me because I still look horrible and although emotionally I feel like I am healing somewhat, I am not 100 percent yet. Not even close to it. I will continue to blog (starting today) and have even made it a point to start some new projects during this week of emotional rollercoasters.

Fifthly, I have given thought on starting a second blog that has nothing to do with fitness at all. It is a totally different spectrum and I will be honest, not sure what will come of it if I decide to do it but I feel like it could be a good thing for others as well as myself. I will continue this fitness blog – no worries, this is my FIRST love and my career and life, so this won’t be going away. Along with a new blog page means I will probably be creating a new facebook page dedicated to it, but that is all something I will start at later dates, I am taking this a day at a time. So be patient with me.

Lastly, I have decided to share a simple poem with all of you I created within minutes of writing this post, hopefully all of you will enjoy it. I will be working on myself day my day because I want to make the most of my life with someone I adore and love and I want to better myself in all aspects of life and I want to blossom into something that I know I am capable of! All of your emails, comments, and social media messages have been read and I am in so much ‘ahh’ at all how many of you were by my side during this time, I am blessed beyond belief to have an online family who stands by my corner but I also want to thank all my close friends and family for keeping me on the up and up even when I was falling into pieces in front of you, you are my heros and I love you!

Poem:

I fell on my face, nothing could pick me back up

for all this time, I thought I wasn’t enough

sometimes the mental pain drains me, and my body hates me,

the insanity that takes over me – has me going crazy

the smile on my face gave me such distaste, pretending to be happy

in order to survive this phase.

It takes strength to grow but I didn’t know it would take so much pain

for every flower around me withered at my downward spiral that I gained

You won’t understand my story,  it has no end but many beginnings

You won’t understand my words, they are spoken while drinking henny,,

You won’t understand me, because I am everything in between..

This poem is only a small dose of me.

The Day After Christmas Day

Hello everyone,

I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and if not Christmas, a wonderful holiday. I decided to make a post about the day after Christmas because this is usually when the “guilt” sets in and everyone feels horrible about eating so much or not staying active during the holiday. I wanted to check it with all of you and see how my readers are feeling; do anyone of you feel guilt, or regret, did you feel like you did better managing your portions and amount of food this Christmas vs the last, did you not care and just dig in, did you find yourself lazy today and not wanting to do much of anything.. I want to hear it all.

Personally, I didn’t eat much and for multiple reasons, but one being I didn’t feel so great, and I wasn’t very hungry this Christmas, my appetite has somewhat changed a bit – I have noticed this. I did however indulge in a few treats here and there but nothing that made me feel guilty, I am not one to eat sweets, but my grandma did such a great job baking, I couldn’t resist a bite or two.   Not only did I want to know about your eating habits, but of course I want to know did you receive all the gifts your heart could dream of, did you give as much as you received, did you spend time with loved ones/friends, did you find yourself grateful for everything positive that has happened and did you smile and laugh, take tons of pictures and sneak Santa a cookie or two. I hope everyone found something productive and positive to do on their Holiday – we might not all celebrate the same holidays, but how we spend those days doesn’t have to change, we should always be grateful for what we have and who we have in our lives.

I appreciate everyone being patient with me, as I have not done a YouTube video since a week or so, and well, I was going to do one today, which I might still and it might be a little emotional.. who knows. I just know one thing, so much has happened, both good and bad and no matter, I appreciate all of you for taking time out of your good and bad days to find time to read my blog post. I wish all of you a wonderful Monday!
