365 Days of Self Discovery: Feelings & Emotions

Day 63

Do you ever feel inferior, why is this?

  • Eh, sometimes when I find myself comparing myself to others or when I am dating someone whom I believe to be out of my league. I suppose it is a self worth issue, but something I work on, but I will say, when it comes to everyday common people and what they have vs what I have materialistically, I don’t pay much attention to.

365 Days of Self Discovery: Day 64

Do you dress for yourself or to impress other people?

  • Once upon a time, it was to impress others because I was worried about how other people looked at me, and thought of me; certain styles, name brands, etc just so I felt and looked “good” according to other people’s standards. I grew up with a mom whom always wanted my sibling and myself to dress accordingly when we were out in public, we weren’t allowed to pick out our own clothes for a while & eventually when we were able to, we were examined first before having leaving the house. Having a nice outer appearance was important to her; she always said “you never know you might run into or meet, so you want to dress your best” — and it was expected of us.
  • Now I dress for myself but the exception would be dressing for a first date or special occasion; wanting to impress the person(s) (first impressions are important) but at the same time still wearing something I feel comfortable in. I like to look good because it makes me feel good (mom always said, if you look good, you feel good) and I believe how a person carries themselves speaks volumes no matter what attire they have on, so I try to choose clothing that makes me feel confident in my body and with myself.

What doesn’t matter to you?

  • I’d say my status quo compared to others. My materialistic being; the kind of clothes I wear compared to others, the type of car I drive, the size of my home and how much “things” I have compared to others. Same as I don’t care about those things about other people. I might have used to cared growing up because I was made to believe they were important for friendships, popularity and likes, but as I grew up and made different choices in my life, I believed they were meaningless when it came to getting to know someone and enjoying a person’s character vs their materialistic being.

Know Your Purpose|Know Your Role

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPcZMTg1gdU

I think many of you will be very appreciative of this particular vlog video, as it goes over how your roles you choose in life and the roles given to you in life all make a difference in other people’s lives, make you that much closer to your overall purpose – and by purpose, I mean the one thing that is much more than the external wishes. The things that you aim for that effect other people in a positive way. We all have roles, some have more than others and we might not always have a choice in what roles we have but we have a choice in what direction we choose to use those roles and how they effect people in our circle/lives. Sometimes we ask our-self what is our purpose, how do I fulfill my purpose, when do I know when to fulfill and it and it isn’t always clear to us in the beginning but the more roles you take on and remove from your life, it becomes more clear to you how you want others to view you, how you want people to respond to you and how certain roles can hinder your purpose in life.

In this particular video, I give you examples of two different kind of roles we have in this life and explain to you how to see your purpose and how to view your life from now on, from this day forward. I hope many of you will watch this video, as this is something I came up with on my own time and without a script to go on, be patient with me as I speak to you & share this video among friends, family, peers, social media.. because I want more people to be inspired and to look at their purpose in this way!

Thank you for your time, enjoy the video.
