Push Up Challenge – Day 16

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-yD5435wno

I wanted to also say thank you to all those that have been very supportive and rooting me on during this challenge. It hasn’t been easy for me, push ups are not my strongest suit by any means but I have seen progress in myself that others wouldn’t notice unless you were me or I brought it to your attention. It seems like my efforts have been paying off on screen and off screen as well and I am dedicated to finishing this challenge one sore arm to another.

Make sure if you are interested in doing this same challenge next month, to send me an email @ Shay.moss19@gmail.com and follow my social media and subscribe to my YouTube channel 🙂

This is what happens when your football team wins the Superbowl – Vlog #1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJKXjEsb14U

Caution this video is of me being very, very excited that my team won the Superbowl!!! – The Patriots!

A YouTuber nominated me for a challenge.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjxidok33L4

I was asked to do this challenge by someone I follow on YouTube (Grey Wolf Fitness) and basically it is to do barbell bicep curls for 1 minute and see how many I can do. I didn’t do badly, but I would have done better if I had not stopped half way to check the timer to make sure I was not cheating on time. This was only for one day, so it was fun! Good challenge indeed.

P.S I used very low weights because this was not a strength workout but an endurance workout.

I have some updated news – Feb. 2nd

I realize none of you care about my life and updates but listen anyways. I have some good news to tell all of you and wouldn’t mind your thoughts and insights, and even advice about some of it to make sure I am going about things in a good way.

  • I applied to be a sponsored athlete with a supplement company. They are a very small business (still growing their site) and accepted my application. I will get my contract this weekend or week, which is exciting for me. They are not a HUGE name, but sadly, I have to start at the VERY bottom and work my way up until I grow a better resume and better appearance with more exposure and do more activities that BIGGER companies look for.
  • I am thinking about starting a sound cloud account in which I record motivational topics/give advice to questions people may have or even share some thoughts on certain things going on. I do this kind of on YouTube, but not everyone has a YouTube account or utilizes it, so if someone has sound cloud , or wants something to listen to while at the gym, I figured this could be helpful 🙂
  • I plan on starting a vlog on my YouTube channel, where I vlog at least once or twice a week, just sharing what is going on with my life, family, friends, might bring in guest speakers, etc. just something off the topic of all fitness related so everyone can relate or share their own thoughts and what you, just something fun 🙂
  • I will start utilizing my snapchat and/or instagram video in order to talk to people one on one or promote things, or even to share videos .. – need some ideas of what people use snapchat for and insta for that can help me grow 🙂
  • I already utilize pinterest, so if you do, follow me 🙂 I have good stuff I pin. and love following others and getting ideas.
  • I plan on changing my blog theme here soon, once spring comes closer 🙂
  • I am still accepting guest post and collabs, I have two people I need to get back to and those will be rolling out here soon hopefully &still willing to do guest post for others.
  • I have a facebook fitness page, so follow that , hopefully once things get rolling and I get certified, I will have it more entertaining and worth your while, be patient with me
  • I am thinking about starting a facebook group that anyone can join if they want to do more challenges, motivate each other, etc. – this isn’t set in stone but give your opinions on that, I may do this on my page instead. we shall see
  • I am now writing for another platform (an online mag) started today and it seems to be getting a lot of people who look at it or whatever, so that is good.
  • I hope to change my domain name so that “wordpress” isn’t part of it. My goal is to have it changed within the next 4-5 months .. if not sooner.
  • I may be joining an affiliate program again down the road, once I get more comfortable with it and understand how to do them better.
  • I am going to continue to make challenges that people can do, as it grows to be more popular and more people become interested, I plan on giving out prizes for them.. so that will be cool! especially if I am a sponsored athlete.  My challenges, I have not decided how often (every other month, every 2 months, etc) so throw me some ideas 🙂
  • I will continue to write for the editor when given the time and have the right topics.
  • I have seen people using Twitter periscope, so may look into using that as well, if you get on Twitter
  • I will be doing Question and Answers on YouTube as well 🙂 so if you have questions, I will start answering them on YouTube and the questions can be open to whatever, as long as they are appropriate obviously.
  • If anyone has a podcast and wants me to interview, hey, let me know, I love doing those things.
  • I have skype, and have thought about doing workouts on skype with people or talking to people via skype about different things – this would be down the road, but don’t mind feedback on it.
  • As far as more on my blog – I have had people ask me to do interviews on my blog, to start talking more about specific workouts again, etc. so if you have topics, let me know 🙂 these are things I can do.

So far, that is the majority of the news, I will have more down the road obviously as things start to change and unravel. I will always keep everyone updated as much as possible whenever I can. I will hopefully have days and times of which things happen, so it makes it easier for everyone to keep up with. I appreciate the support and willingness to learn and engage with me! so don’t go anywhere, shit is about to real soon 🙂 ha

Squat Challenge- FINAL DAY! :) I DID IT!!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGWkq6GTcUQ

Hey everyone!

Today was my LAST DAY OF THE SQUAT CHALLENGE! I conquered it, the unbelievable 250 reps, I did it! I fucking made it! I started off now knowing if I would even get past 50, I had no game plan and I thought to myself, I wanted to reach at least 100, and call it a day, but when I reached 100, I realized, the fire was still in me and decided to continue on!

This challenge was hard, it was mentally hard because every chance I had, I could have quit if it wasn’t for the competitive edge in me – if it wasn’t the constant reminder that I want to know what it feels like to finish something like this. Many days I did this after leg day workout and fuck did it hurt like all hell, but I pushed through, I wish you could have seen the videos from the beginning up to now and how I have changed the pace and changed the amount of rest between reps, everything I did for this challenge made me realize something about myself and i am very proud of how far I have come!

Tomorrow is the FIRST day for those that signed up for the squat challenge, you will all receive an email from me when I wake up. When you are finished with your reps, you may send them via video, or just email me back , letting me know that you finished them, I am keeping track of everyone’s personally, so when this challenge happens again, you will know where you left off and what you need to beat 🙂

For those that missed out on the rules of this challenge, please click here

If you have not already signed up and would like to sign up, please email me at: Shay.moss19@gmail.com

it is free and will be worth your while, it doesn’t matter how far you go, just do your best, and I am wishing all of you the best of luck!

Who will make it to 250 reps like I did, LOL.  Looking forward to finding out 🙂

Do My Eating Habits Match My Exercise Habits?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZqvvNJ2lTY

Happy Monday Everyone!

Not too long ago I was asked on social media what my eating habits were like compared to my workout habits. As most of you already know, I workout on a normal week, 6 days a week with Sunday’s being my official rest days. Days like today where my womanly issues come between me and the gym keep me from going until my body feels much better (which should be tomorrow). I personally believe that it takes more than going to the gym everyday to have a healthy body and live a healthy lifestyle, it is true that one should take advantage of a healthier diet as well. I have chosen to do a video explaining what my nutritional life is like because it changes sometimes and since writing my last post on it, it has changed for the better I like to think. I will mention that not everyone has the same goals in mind and not everyone understands what “clean eating” means, because it means differently for tons of people, so my way of doing things will differ from all of yours possibly and that is alright! I don’t want people thinking that there is only one way of doing things, because I believe in doing what works for you and following your own lead in life and using others as a guide. Most of the “trendy” diets I have followed in the past didn’t work for me for the long term and made me more depressed that I could not handle it or stick with it for the long term (which should be the goal of anyone doing something for themselves, it should be something you want to do and can sustain for a lifetime) unless you are a specific athlete where your diet is changing constantly. I think more and more people are finding new ways to inspire people to eat healthier but the problem is, not everyone understands what it means to eat healthier and I am here to be completely honest with all of you about this: I DON’T ALWAYS EAT HEALTHY AND I PROBABLY NEVER WILL. I don’t always make the BEST decisions when it comes to food and that is something I am okay with because at the end of the day, I know the consequences and if I don’t like them, then I change my habits (which you will see that some of them I did).

I hope if anything, this video enlightens you and gives you perspective and an idea of what my day to day eating habits are and possibly learn why I do what I do and how it works for me. Eating healthy never has to be hard, it can be as easy as you need it to be, just a trial and error and a way to explore different foods. I say variety is the spice of life – I am still learning to venture out and give myself new recipes, trying new  veggies/fruits, and exploring the different ways of cooking such foods as well. I won’t ever be perfect but sometimes I come close to what my body needs and sometimes I end up all the way in left field. “The hardest part about eating is trying to find ways to eat what you want without eating too much of it”.
